Since 1927, our firm has tried cases for individuals, corporations, insurance companies and self-insureds. Members of our firm have been nationally recognized by the National Law Reporter, American Board of Trial Advocates and accredited by the National Board of Trial Advocates. The National Board of Trial Advocacy is the only national certification program for trial attorneys which utilizes objective standards, testing and trial experience to allow those trial attorneys who meet the criteria to become certified.
We have recently been chosen as a "Go-To-Law Firm" for 2008 in the practice area of Litigation. The selection was made as a result of a recent survey of Fortune 500 companies by Corporate Counsel magazine of those outside law firms which Fortune 500 companies turn to in various practice areas. Less than one-half of one percent of all firms in the United States are recognized with this respected honor.
On behalf of our clients we have secured successful jury verdicts, court awards, arbitration decisions and settlements. Members of our firm have been chosen to serve as arbitrators to decide cases for both the private sector and the judiciary.
Members of our firm have been on the cutting edge of legal ideology inclusive of obtaining the first summary judgment in the State of Connecticut in a negligence case (25 Conn. Supp 138); broadening or defining common law indemnification, negligence service of alcohol, equine responsibility, etc.
The practice involves all members of the firm having a working knowledge of all files that we are defending on behalf of corporations, insurance companies self-insureds and individuals.
