Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation Criteria for Medical Lawyers

First we review the firm’s knowledge of general medical issues concerning the practice of medicine and the treatment of patients.  We assess the firm’s understanding of precedence set with regard to various medical case issues.  We also determine the level of experience the firm has had with regard to legal concerns in the medical field.

Next we analyze the handling of cases involving disability issues and hospitals. Does the firm work with clients to ensure that fair treatment is being received from hospitals which are expected to follow certain codes and regulations to allow the disabled to have access to their resources?

We then review a firm’s handling of medical malpractice suits. In the case that a doctor or surgeon is accused of making a mistake, do the attorneys work with their client to determine where the error occurred, the implications of the error, and the proper legal actions necessary to resolve the issue?

Another aspect of our evaluation focuses on medical drug cases. Does the firm have a keen understanding of the different medications being used and the implications to help doctors and pharmacists stay safe from legal implications to ensure that patients are being warned about side effects and other problems with medication?

Lastly we focus on the hot issues in the medical world.  Is the firm up to date on the most recent happenings in the medical field?  Does the firm work to understand the potential legal implications involved with these changes?
