Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation Criteria for Immigration Lawyers

First we review the firm’s knowledge of the general immigration issues.  Are the attorneys able to assess the situation and help file the correct paperwork to ensure that the client is protected against deportation?  Does the firm assist their client to go through the necessary processes involved in immigration?

Next we review the firm’s handling of deportation issues and claims. Do the attorneys work hard to prevent their clients from being deported to their country of origin?  Does the firm have a grasp of the various causes for deportation?  Has the firm shown a successful record of defending clients?

We then review the firm’s knowledge of K1 applications and the requirements and limitations of marriage in the United States of America. Do the attorneys help clients file the K1 application, and advise their client with regard to the marriage paperwork to ensure that the fiancé will not be deported for any reason?

Another aspect of our evaluation reviews the H1B application and the work visa status in the United States. Does the firm work with corporations to help ensure that a business professional from another country will be able to work in the United States without issues and will be able to file for green card status if required?

Lastly our research team analyzes the firms handling of citizenship applications to assist clients in becoming a legal citizen of the United States.  Does the firm work with the paperwork and requirements of becoming a citizen and help clients understand the financial and legal responsibilities of doing so?
